John Chan ジョン チャン
John Chan was born in Hong Kong. At an early age he moved with his family to the U.K., where he was raised. By his late teens, he had developed a deep fascination with the arts, and moved to California to study photography at the Brooks Institute. After graduating, he worked as an assistant to Micheal Harris in New York City. He then relocated to Tokyo, Japan, where he began working as a still-life photographer. John’s work has appeared in fashion publications including Spur, Elle and Figaro japon.
Editorial clients : Oggi, Biteki, Domani, Marisol, Eclat, Baila, Be-story, Story, Very, Classy, Elle japon and Figaro japon etc.
Advertising clients : DHC, Rope, Citizen, Vandome, 4°C and Star Jewelary etc.
ジョン・チャン。香港生まれ。
幼少期に、家族とともに移住したイギリスで育つ。
10代後半にアート全般に深く魅了され、
カリフォルニアのブルックス・インスティトゥートで写真を学ぶため、アメリカに渡る。
卒業後ニューヨークにて、写真家のマイケル・ハリスのもとでアシスタントとして働く。
その後東京に居を移し、静物カメラマンとして、本格的に仕事を開始する。
以後、『シュプール』『エル』『フィガロジャポン』など、名だたるファッション誌や美容誌、広告媒体等において仕事をし続けている。
